Admiration Squared

It was nearly forgotten that I was trying to write something about David Beckham. I realized that I have this draft when Beckham was in Manila. Until he is on Yahoo! News today [02.06.12] for being the sexiest man on the planet.




In the case of David Beckham, being sexy doesn't only mean having beautiful face and body and of course a Posh wife. Beckham was not a brilliant student in his school life. But if the famous developmetal psychologist Howard Gardner, in his Theory of Multiple Intelligences is going to describe Beckham, he has bodily-kinesthetic intelligence. For the simple reason that he achieved more in football than his peers. 

Reading and watching the colorful life of David Beckham is worth time spending. Being a FIFA fan for quite long, Beckham is a man of substance. Literally and figuratively. 

Beckham is UNICEF Ambassador of Goodwill. When he visited Manila last December 2011, he played football with underpriviledged children and exhibition game with the Azkals where he saw Manny Pacquiao in the audience and gave his jersey. I was also admirable for Pacquiao to extend his hand to Beckham. Recognizing admiration to each other.  Two humble wealthy gentlemen!

Being the sexiest also come with great social responsibilities and respect to every race.
