The Passport to Fortune

Unless your parents made you a slave, anyone who said that they did not disobey their parents (even once, even in their thoughts) is a liar.:X  While attending PERSONAL ERRANDS for your parents in politics does not grant anyone the passport to fortune.

Nancy Binay has the option to decide on her own or just obey what her parents told her. She is enjoying the high survey ratings and granting that she wins as Senator, will she ask her Vice President father, Mayor brother and Ex-Mayor mother always before doing any Senatorial duties?

Oh! I forgot, the obedient daughter. Tsk,tsk. #hashtagyourface

Before and After

While watching Colin and Angel of "The Greatest Love" last night, I keep on pondering about South Korea's contributions to humanity. In almost everything, South Korea is very competitive.

While in the North, it doesn't take a genius to understand that Kim Jong-un is manifesting [multiple] psychoses.

South Koreans look really good. K-Pop is still much a hit! By the way, they learn English from Filipinos.

North and South Korea is like the before and after enhancement procedure.

Like Father, [Un] Like Son

I did not vote for PNoy but I am not against him. He was elected by the majority and that is how democracy works.

The President wants the Chief Justice out. But it seems that the commander-in-chief is burning the whole house down just trying to kill a rat.

PNoy’s father died with a strong belief that Filipino is worth dying for. Maybe it was not explained if his own son was included.

Anxiety is an Anticipated Fear

Talk about Bank Laws for example, Anti Money Laundering Act (AMLA) was born after President Estrada's impeachment, one for his alleged huge jueteng money. Year 2001.

Feb. 2012, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada filed Senate Bill amending the Foreign Currency Deposit Act to allow opening of bank deposits in anti-graft cases involving government officials.

Coincidences or should I say ironies of the story: Impeachments bring light for a law to be created; both participated by father and son; three presidential terms to realize things that are not coming yet. — at GMA Network Center.

When the Underdog Becomes the Superdog

Should it be scientifically proven that Filipinos are sympathetic to underdogs? Needless to explain why in the history of Philippine Basketball, team of Ginebra San Miguel draws a lot of fans. And recently, to Jessica Sanchez being the "lesser" American.

In the conclusion of impeachment trial of CJ Corona, Sen. Lito Lapid came to the floor with dignity and respect to his unbecoming. Unbecoming for a College degree, admission that he barely understand the laws and can hardly speak English.

Yesterday, he came to the rostrum with no prepared speech, spoke plainly in Tagalog and just voted based on his conscience. He was also wondering why a high school graduate holds the future of the highest magistrate. I admired his honesty, humility and courage to accept his weaknesses.Truly the gentleman from Pampanga. For me, his vote is "unadulterated", just based on alterego.

I did not vote for Lito Lapid but he was elected. Simply because more Filipinos believe that he will be a good senator more than I have thought. What we have thought personally is sometimes really not the thought of the majority. This is where democracy works. I have not heard any of his astounding performance in the Senate either than being waited to do wrong or being watched what he will do wrong.

To his fellow senators, he became the Chairmain for Senate Committee on Tourism. He is the gentleman of the masses and warrior of social responsibility. Senator Lapid maybe forever branded as Leon Guerrero and for his moment last impeachment, for me, not anymore the underdog. :) — at GMA Network Center.

Th Deja vu of Being Sick

The problem when history repeats itself is when the main characters fail to address its essence and beauty.

President Marcos after being elected and term ended, he declared Martial Law.

President Macapagal-Arroyo was elected after serving the remaining term of President Estrada.

Both Presidents (Marcos & Arroyo) were highly educated. Both hail from political and wealthy families. Both served beyond the prescribed presidential terms and both accused of being thief (and Arroyo with electoral sabotage) and both "fall sick" when about to receive the verdict.

In psychology, we call these suspected malingering. — at GMA Network Center.

The Divisibility of Four

Four years ago, my brother and I planned to go to this Olympic Village to witness the once in a lifetime opening ceremonies
and experience the famous 'One World, One Dream' slogan of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Much to the excitement is also to get
lucky with 08.08.08. and even luckiest to see Michael Phelps, but we did not know what to go about going to China. We ended up sitting in the comfort of our living room watching the broadcasts.

I finally got to visit this magnificent city four months ago. How I wish I can also visit London. Michael Phelps has no idea I'm his most obsessive fan, stalker and admirer:) ♥♥♥

After four years, Olympics time again and I wonder if I should believe if feng shui brings luck to the divisibility of four. After all, next Olympics will be in my dream city, Rio de Janiero. :-P

Unusual Grace / Gloria

By mistake, my professor sometimes calls me "Gloria" in class. I say, "Who is Gloria, Maam?" "Oh, I mean Grace" she quips.

End of classroom tales.

I was hit in the head with two political issues today [10.05.12]:

Commissioner[Governor] Grace Padaca is bailed courtesy of PNoy and Congresswoman [President] Glora Macapagal-Arroyo is issued arrest warrant by Sandiganbayan but the lady solon is attched to an IV [dextrose].
Comm. Padaca is facing her charges but since it is bailable, she's out. The unusual is, PNoy paid the bail out of his pocket, allegedly and the lady is in crutches. While Congresswoman Macapagal-Arroyo is yet to face her condemnation. And the unusual is she is now suffering from hypertension and hydration but she just came from COMELEC to file Certificate of Candidacy.

My name is Grace but my professor calls me Gloria. Hahaha! :)

Jason Mraz

Has a slight manifestation of not obvious fascination with Jason Mraz.

1. Complete album collection in my iPod
2. Probably all his songs, unreleased included, are in my Grooveshark
3. Watched his concert in Araneta last year
4. My top playlist choice during long trips
5. His music are the only songs I can sing correctly on videoke [except for Laklak, Halik and Darna]

Friday the 13th isn't a bad day after all. :-P — at GMA Network Center.

Obama Still Cares

Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney's concession speech:

"I have just called President Obama to congratulate him on his victory."

"I wish all of them well but particularly the President, the First Lady and their daughters. This is the time of great challenges for America and I pray that the President be successful in guiding our nation."

Hindi pa nga tapos ang election, nag concede na. Sa Pilipinas, 3 taon nang tapos ang eleksyon umaapela pa.

The Doors of Faith

I was in my childhood years and I read this passage on my mother's working table everyday. I suddenly thought of it while looking at this photo which I took during my recent trip to Bohol with my sister and just knew that it was from Psalm 27. Thanks Google, by the way.

"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple".

Oh mother, you never fail to amaze me! :) — at Baclayon Church, Baclayon, Bohol.

The Debut of Napoleonic Era

Before the National Artist Napoleon Abueva created the Sandugo Shrine in Bohol in 1999, he first created one for Civil Service Commission's Dangal ng Bayan Award for my mother in 1995, which I did not realize yet until me and my sister visited Bohol last February 2013.

May 9, 2013 is the 18th year death anniversary of my mother. She  died with valor the day after 1995 Elections.

Seven elections;

Five presidential terms (Pres. Gloria Arroyo completing Pres. Erap's term);

Three terms of the Mayor she counted the votes;

Two years (2nd) of automated elections;

One wonderful mother. :)

Pornographic Memory

With no offense meant, I mistakenly think of Anthony Bourdain as a pedopile. He looks snob, however, I'm a fan of his show "No Reservations" until it ended last year.

He is an excellent food critic and writer. Of course he has good taste in food and Oh! by the way, he give good reviews to Filipino food writers.

While working on my school requirements for my Finals on Saturday, I took a break and watched his Food Porn series I saved on my disk.

I somehow think if subconsciously, Anthony is manifesting his phallic fascination tendencies.
